William P. Wright, MD, FACC, is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Interventional Cardiology.

Dr. Wright earned his Bachelor of Arts degrees in Chemistry and History from Duke University and his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Missouri–Columbia. He completed his internship, residency, and fellowship in cardiology at the University of Missouri–Columbia, where he was honored to serve as Chief Fellow.

With more than three decades of distinguished experience in cardiovascular medicine, Dr. Wright has held numerous leadership roles throughout his career. His positions have included Director of Cardiology at St. Clare Hospital and St. Anthony's Medical Center, as well as Medical Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and the STEMI Program, Chief of Medicine, and Vice President of the Medical Staff at Mercy South.

In addition to his clinical leadership, Dr. Wright has made meaningful contributions to cardiovascular research through participation in several landmark clinical trials, including TRITON TIMI-38, PEGASUS, SAVE, and RE-DUAL. His involvement in these studies reflects his longstanding commitment to advancing evidence-based cardiac care and improving outcomes for patients with cardiovascular disease.
