OR Surgical Technologist
To fulfill the duties and responsibilities of the OR Technologist and Central Sterile technologist. The scrub tech must have a thorough understanding of each surgical and scope procedure and possess a knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Must be familiar with the policies and procedures regarding cleaning, autoclaving, wrapping of packs, spore testing and recall system. Must have a clear understanding and practice of aseptic technique.
Education: High School graduate or GED. Certification is required from an accredited surgical technologist program.
BLS is required.
Experience: 6 months to one year OR experience preferred but not required. Ortho experience preferred.
Personal Skills: Human relation skills are needed for
personal interaction with other employees, patients, physicians and the general public. Tempermental ability to be pleasant, cheerful, tactful, cooperative, responsible, compassionate and courteous.
This is a part-time position, Monday through Friday, and call is required at least one weekend a month.
