ABC Child Development Head Start Center

Awarded Center of Distinction

The ABC Child Development Head Start Center recently received the Center of Distinction through the Bright From the Start Department of Early Care and Learning (DECAL). The center went through the voluntary process and is proud that they are only the second center in southeast Georgia to receive this status. Center of Distinction is awarded for the care and education being provided in infant, toddler and preschool classes. "I am very proud of the way staff worked together for this recognition," noted Head Start Director, Bonnie Gaskins. "They work very hard as a team as they offer quality services for the children and families" stated Cindy Turner, Bacon County Hospital and Health System CEO. The center was presented with a banner that is now displayed next to the centers' playground near Hwy 32 East.
