Bacon County Hospital & Health System is looking for volunteer patient and family advisors.

With the shift in the healthcare landscape from volume to value, more hospitals are engaging patients in their everyday hospital activities. Like any profession, learning from the consumer can provide great insight on how to provide better service. Integrating a Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC) with the hospital setting is an excellent approach to learn from patients and increase the quality of care delivered in a hospital.

The Patient and Family Advisory Council provides a formal communication vehicle for patients and families to take an active role in improving the patient experience at Bacon County Hospital and Health System.

The mission of the PFAC is to ensure Bacon County Hospital and Health System provides compassionate, quality healthcare that meets the needs of the community by promoting an environment of patient-and family-centered care.
