Debbie Spivey

Debbie Spivey is the Director of Public Relations and Marketing at Bacon County Hospital and Health System. Spivey is responsible for both the internal and external, community, relations that promote the mission of BCHSI. Her role as the Director of Public Relations and Marketing includes the coordination of the volunteer program, fundraising events, community events, community health initiatives, and employee recognition.

Spivey also coordinates the fundraising initiatives that benefit the Bacon County Hospital Foundation. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to positively impacting the community's health and the functions of the Bacon County Hospital and Health System. Spivey was instrumental in implementing the beautiful stained glass windows that adorn the front of the Chapel.

Well known throughout the community, Spivey served in several positions over the years, including her work at the Alma Discount Pharmacy, in the laboratory and pharmacy at Bacon County Hospital, as the Education Coordinator Assistant, Interim Education Coordinator, and Director of Education, and as a physician recruiter. Spivey also served as Bacon County Hospital's first phlebotomist.

Spivey will become a grandmother by her son, Justin, in November of this year.
